Dubbledge- Fist Of Jah!

May 20th, 2006

‘Fist Of Jah!’ is the heavy mix CD by Dubbledge, a rapper with tons of character in his voice and ability in his flow. Events begin with ‘Perfect Beatbox’ featuring Shlomo of the Foreign Beggars. It’s a great track with sustained verses over an extremely impressively performed beat. Things get gloomy with ‘Morning Worship’ and lively on the dubstate that is ‘Deadline’.

Featuring Wordsmith and Micall Parknsun, ‘That’s Long’ produced by IDO is a really enjoyable album quality track with strong string based production and heavy guest spots. The DJ Snips handled ‘Venus’ featuring Skrein and Dr Syntax is a really laid back and chilled affair whilst ‘3 Way Beatdown’ featuring Orifice Vulgatron and Inja is pure class. Dag Nabbit’s production instantly sounds like a seasoned UK hiphop classic, Edge drops some loud personality and Orifice proves once more why he’s the sickest in the land.

As mix CD’s go, this is a real strong release bordering into album quality territory for the number of strong, well rounded and entertaining tracks. It’s a consistent, appetising performance and a sign of great things to come.
