Wah Magazine

November 21st, 2005

The first of its kind in the UK, Wah Magazine is a new publication aimed at females who are into their hip-hop, and RnB. It’s a juicy 68 pages in length and delivers intelligent content. Representing women in hiphop beyond merely presenting them as sexual objects, the aim is to break boundaries in the representation of females in hiphop. The current issue is jam packed with very interesting features and news, including an interview with Sarah Love. Issue 2 hits the streets in January featuring an interview with Ms Dynamite as well as coverage of the B-Boy Championships. The mag already has a readership of around ten thousand, with readers able to check out the fine rag for free via the website www.wah-magazine.com as well as many record shops across the UK. This is high quality independant journalism that you need to go check!

Nice one. Good to know that the hard work by Sharma the Editor and the rest of the crew is being appreciated. Also, check out the article on Corinne Bailey Rae in the next issue. Big talent for this year!
