Aftershock- Shock To The System

April 29th, 2007

The Aftershock crew ConsistS of Terror Danjah, Bruza, Elrae, Gemma Fox, Tinie Tempah, Royal D.E.Velopment, 2 Nice, Badness, MZ Brat, Krucial, D.O.J, Specs, Joci, Flash and Loudmouf. They’ve all come together to release the debut CD ‘Shock To The System’ and as the line up suggests, there’s alot to keep your ear out for.

Whilst Bruza’s spots are slightly tired due to his once entertaining but increasingly boring style, the likes of Fox, Tinie Tempah and others bring the energy on the regs, not to mention the many big guest appearances. Non crew members strutting their stuff include Wiley, Sadie, D Double E, The Ragga Twins, Skibbadee and Shabba, Fumin, Wretch 32, Maxwell D, Laurissa and Hitman, mostly packing big punches.

Notable moments are the various guest vocals of the beautiful Shola Ama – proof that a major really needs to put their money into signing her rather than the typical Beverly Knights and Gabrielle’s, good but not a touch on this classy stunner. Shola’s kid sister Sadie works with Wiley on ‘The One’, a chilled out love vibe whilst ‘Wretch 32’ shines on ‘Round and Round’.

The highlight of the CD comes at it’s very end, and it’s worth the wait. Featuring ‘Triple Threat, MC Fun, Shabba D, D Double E, Skibadee, Bruza, MC Melo-D, Hitman Hyper, and Raga Twins, the Terror Danjah produced ‘Creepy Crawler (Reckless Soldier)’ is immense! The tempo’s headrush and the energy’s a blast.
