April 5th, 2006

‘Guilty Or Innocent Of Using The N Word?’ is a new film premiering in London next month. Sponsored by the city of Wilmington (Delaware, USA), the picture investigates questions surrounding the ‘N’ word that most people have probably discussed amongst themselves. Starting with the origins of the word and its use, the film chornologically details its history, right up to its present use in hiphop music and culture. Guest appearances in the documentary include M1 of Dead Prez and CEO of, Grouchy Greg, plus many more. You can check out the free educational event at Goldsmiths College in New Cross, London, on the 3rd of May at 6pm. A Q&A session will follow the screening, with panellists SAS, Paul H of Hiphop Connection, Matilda Egera-Cooper of Blues And Soul magazine and Dr Lez Henry, a lecturer of the college.
