When it comes to bad PR moves, this is one of the biggest. From the start to finish of this awful DVD, out next month in the UK, viewers get bored to death by what ultimately, is a very bitter and twisted man. The Game is one hell of an obsessed dude, and if this DVD is to believed, has nothing on his mind besides 50 Cent and G-Unit, who he supposedly hates.
Aside from a couple of mildly interesting anecdotes and an insight into how much rappers are tracked by 'hiphop cops', there's nothing in the way of content. That is, unless you class The Game talking to camera for about two hours entertaining. Like someone's ex-girlfriend, he just goes on and on. 50 said this, Lyod Banks said that, Young Buck claimed this. Blah blah blah. We don't hear any of Game's music, or even a reference to it. Even live footage of the bloke on stage merely sees him sitting down talking to the crowd about his love affair with his ex associates.
As for the countless people shouting 'G U Not' to the camera, I needn't point out how biased and misrepresentative this is. This Game DVD was obviously never going to show footage of people bigging up the artist it's out to mock, so any suggestion from it that the world now hates 50 Cent should be ignored. I mean, the guy's still selling more albums than anyone else. And the saddest thing of all about this release is that I'm the biggest 50 Cent hater. I should love this DVD, but the truth is, it's that shit, and that pitiful, that I now hate The Game even more.
