DJ Nonames- Beggar’s Brew

September 24th, 2006

The Foreign Beggars are a talented bunch. Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis are names that always crop up in discussions on UK hiphop's best rappers. Likewise, Schlomo's always referenced in a conversation on UK beat boxing, and Dag Nabbit when the island's best producers are rated. One member that's perhaps not talked about so much is the crew's DJ, Nonames. That could change with this album.

It's a great mix of familiar and lesser known artists from both the UK and US, including live recordings and instrumentals to boot. There's exclusives by Stig and Wordsmith, Kashmere, Dubbledge and others, as well as the familiar tracks 'Black Rose' by Klashnekoff, 'Things You Do' by Slum Village and others. Out on Dented Records, it's a nice appetiser for those waiting for the imminent Beggars album. This drops at the end of October.
