This whole album's produced by Geoff Wilkinson and most of the rapping is handled by Akil Dasan and Gaston, both from New York. All the tracks are of a jazz flavour, with live musicians contributing trumpet, double bass and saxophone. There's also some turntable trickery thrown in by DJ First Rate and several others. The overall quality of the album is high, with all the tracks produced and performed very well. It comes down to if this is your sort of thing. If you still enjoy this kind of hiphop, which has to be said, has been done many times now, you'll like this. However, if you're getting slightly tired of the jazzy, live instrumental hiphop you probably wont get further than one listen. Standout tracks include the really fun Brazilian vibes of 'Kick This' and the piano based 'What's Goin' On In The World Today?'. The album's out now.
